Design and implement scalable software solutions for accounting workflows, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial data processing and system integrations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core accounting platform features
- Collaborate with product and finance teams to define technical requirements
- Improve reliability and performance of financial data pipelines
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Diagnose and resolve bugs in production systems
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Ensure compliance with financial data integrity standards
- Optimize database queries and backend services
- Support integration with third-party accounting tools
- Contribute to API design for internal and external use
- Monitor system behavior and respond to alerts
- Implement automated testing frameworks
- Work within agile development cycles
- Enhance security practices for sensitive financial data
- Scale systems to handle growing transaction volumes
- Document technical architecture and decision rationale
- Evaluate new technologies for potential adoption
- Assist in incident response and post-mortems
- Align engineering work with business objectives
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical field
- Experience with real-time data processing
- Knowledge of accounting principles or financial reporting
