Jitterbit is hiring a Software QA Engineer - Manual (Linux) - Remote

Requirements

  • Deep Quality Engineering Experience – 8+ years in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering, with a demonstrated progression in ownership, complexity, and impact across multiple releases and product cycles.
  • End-to-End Test Strategy & Execution – Deep experience designing and executing comprehensive test strategies across both frontend and backend systems. You translate product requirements into thoughtful, risk-based test coverage that protects the customer experience.
  • Environment Ownership – Proven ability to build, configure, and maintain stable, production-like test environments that support reliable release cycles. You understand that great testing depends on great test beds.
  • Quality Visibility & Metrics – Skilled at writing high-quality bug reports that accelerate resolution, and at defining meaningful quality metrics and dashboards that provide actionable insight — not just data.
  • Agile Quality Partner – Hands-on experience in Scrum/Agile teams, contributing beyond test execution by influencing acceptance criteria, improving testability, and embedding quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Cloud & Platform Testing Expertise – Skilled in testing SaaS/iPaaS and other cloud-based systems across Windows and Linux environments, including containerized and orchestrated deployments (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong understanding of distributed system architectures and the quality challenges they introduce — including service dependencies, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • API & Integration Validation – Strong experience validating REST/SOAP APIs, working with JSON/XML payloads, and testing integrations with databases, CRM/ERP systems, and external services.
  • Messaging & Search Systems – Experience testing systems built on Elasticsearch and Kafka, including validating data indexing/search accuracy, event-driven workflows, and message queue reliability under load.
  • Observability & Tooling Fluency – Comfortable leveraging tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Datadog (or similar APM/monitoring platforms), and other utilities to diagnose issues, validate system health, and support efficient test execution.
  • Collaborative Product Contributor – Proactive in partnering with engineering and product teams during design and development, asking the right questions early to help shape features for testability and reliability.
  • Remote Excellence – Experienced working effectively with distributed teams across time zones, demonstrating ownership, clarity, and responsiveness.
  • Clear Communicator & Process Advocate – Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a self-directed, structured approach and a passion for improving processes to raise the quality bar for the entire team.

Nice to Have

  • Automation Mindset (Plus) – Experience with test automation using TypeScript or Python is a strong plus, particularly with an eye toward scalability and long-term maintainability.
  • AI-Enhanced Productivity – Experience leveraging AI tools to improve test generation, code quality, analysis, or productivity, with genuine curiosity to keep exploring what's possible.
