Role Overview
We are creating a next-generation naming protocol that unifies conventional DNS with decentralized blockchain identities. As a Senior Solana Blockchain Engineer, you will architect and deploy the core infrastructure of the DOMA Protocol, enabling domains to function as tokenized real-world assets on the Solana blockchain. This role is central to shaping a new layer of internet infrastructure that connects legacy systems with emerging Web3 capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to convert business requirements into robust technical implementations.
- Lead the design, coding, and deployment of Solana programs that support tokenization, name resolution, and financial operations around domain assets.
- Build and maintain backend services that securely interface between Solana smart contracts and traditional DNS registries and registrars.
- Develop and sustain oracles, indexers, and blockchain bridges to ensure reliable data flow across systems.
- Optimize system performance, security, and scalability across both blockchain and traditional database layers.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, testing, and debugging to uphold high software quality standards.
- Continuously explore advancements in blockchain and distributed systems to inform platform evolution.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Solana development, including Rust-based smart contracts, SPL Tokens (including Token-2022), and integration with Metaplex standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of professional backend development experience using Node.js with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Minimum of three years focused on blockchain development using Rust or Solidity, with deep understanding of consensus mechanisms and decentralized storage.
- Proven experience with Git and Agile workflows in team environments.
- Strong analytical abilities, initiative, and adaptability in fast-moving technical landscapes.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Background
- Experience operating blockchain infrastructure using Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Digital Ocean.
- Familiarity with NestJS and GraphQL for API development.
- Prior work building or maintaining blockchain oracles and data indexing services.
Technology Environment
Our stack centers on Solana with Rust for on-chain programs, complemented by Node.js backend services. We use PostgreSQL and MySQL for structured data, and leverage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud, and Digital Ocean. Development practices include Git, Kubernetes, and modern API frameworks including NestJS and GraphQL.
