Role Overview
Join a forward-thinking operations team based in Hyderabad as a Solar Plant Remote Monitoring Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the real-time performance of multiple solar photovoltaic plants using SCADA and remote monitoring systems. You'll play a key role in identifying issues, analyzing performance trends, and ensuring operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor live data feeds from solar plants to detect anomalies in generation, equipment behavior, or communication links.
- Conduct initial fault assessments for inverters, strings, and system-level disruptions, escalating critical cases as needed.
- Investigate root causes behind performance drops, including impacts on Performance Ratio (PR), Plant Load Factor (PLF), and Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF).
- Generate and validate routine performance reports on daily, weekly, and monthly cycles.
- Log and track downtime events, ensuring timely resolution through internal ticketing workflows.
- Support development of automated reporting tools and analytics enhancements using Power BI, Python, or Excel.
- Maintain accurate shift documentation to enable seamless handovers between operational teams.
- Adhere to established operational procedures and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols at all times.
Technical Environment
You'll work with SCADA platforms, Power BI for visualization, and scripting tools such as Python to streamline monitoring and reporting tasks. Proficiency in Excel is essential for data analysis and rapid troubleshooting.
Work Arrangement
This is a local, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The role follows a structured shift pattern to ensure continuous plant monitoring.
