About the Role
The role involves leading grant project activities, analyzing funding requirements, ensuring adherence to regulations, and guiding teams through proposal development and reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of grant-funded initiatives
- Oversee the preparation and submission of grant proposals
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and sponsor-specific regulations
- Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple grant projects
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align grant objectives with organizational goals
- Conduct detailed reviews of grant agreements and award documents
- Monitor grant expenditures and ensure financial accountability
- Prepare progress and final reports for funding agencies
- Serve as primary point of contact for grant-related inquiries
- Develop and maintain grant tracking systems
- Train staff on grant policies and procedures
- Identify potential funding opportunities aligned with strategic priorities
- Support audits and financial reviews related to grant activities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of grants management standards
- Implement internal controls to safeguard grant funds
- Facilitate communication between program staff and finance departments
- Evaluate project outcomes against grant objectives
- Assist in the development of budgets and justification narratives
- Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping for all grant activities
- Lead post-award management processes from initiation to closeout
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in public administration, business, or related area
- Certification in grants management or project management
- Experience working with federal grant portals such as Grants.gov
- Familiarity with SAM registration and UEI requirements
- Background in healthcare or human services funding
- Experience supporting multi-year, multi-million dollar grants
- Knowledge of cost principles under 2 CFR 200
- Track record of successful post-award oversight
- Experience with performance measurement frameworks
- Prior leadership role in a remote team setting
