Role Overview
As a Sr. Platform Solutions Engineer, you will lead the end-to-end technical implementation of a data-driven decision platform for enterprise customers. Your work ensures that complex transportation and logistics systems are accurately represented in optimization models, integrated seamlessly with customer data sources, and calibrated to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load transportation data from varied customer environments
- Integrate platform services with customer systems using APIs, SFTP, flat files, and direct database connections
- Validate data quality, consistency, and alignment with modeling requirements
- Diagnose and resolve integration or data issues in collaboration with internal teams and customer stakeholders
- Configure and fine-tune optimization and simulation models to reflect real-world operational logic and business goals
- Translate solution designs into technical configurations, ensuring fidelity to intended outcomes
- Refine model behavior based on performance analysis, validation results, and user input
- Verify that model outputs comply with customer business rules and operational expectations
- Act as the primary technical liaison across engineering, solutions, and customer teams during project execution
- Support project planning, milestone tracking, and customer communications to maintain alignment
- Document technical workflows, data mappings, and configuration decisions to enable scalability and knowledge sharing
- Facilitate feedback loops between Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to drive product and process improvements
- Monitor system behavior post-deployment and recommend updates based on observed performance
- Provide technical support for live customers, including resolution of escalated platform issues
- Contribute to the evolution of deployment tooling, automation frameworks, and operational playbooks
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or have equivalent practical experience. Minimum of five years in technical roles building and maintaining full-stack data and product systems is required.
Essential skills include proficiency in Python 3, hands-on experience with AWS and relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server), and familiarity with operations research, simulation, or optimization models. Prior exposure to machine learning concepts is expected. Experience in transportation optimization—such as network planning, dispatch logic, or asset-to-load matching—is highly valued.
Success in this role requires a customer-focused mindset, analytical rigor, and the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration. You must be capable of translating technical complexity into clear insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. Initiative, ownership, and a commitment to continuous learning are essential.
