Role Overview
The Sr Solutions Engineer serves as a technical authority and strategic advisor, working closely with sales and partners to deliver tailored solutions for enterprise customers. This role focuses on understanding customer environments, identifying business challenges, and translating technical capabilities into measurable outcomes using F5’s portfolio of application security and delivery technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced system configurations that meet complex customer requirements across hybrid and cloud environments
- Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to influence product enhancements through customer feedback and special requests
- Deliver compelling, solution-focused product demonstrations and technical presentations to both technical and business stakeholders
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of F5 technologies, competitive offerings, and evolving industry trends in application security, networking, and cloud infrastructure
- Develop proof-of-concept documentation, case studies, and technical content to support customer engagements
- Partner with sales to build comprehensive account profiles, including technology landscapes and strategic objectives
- Provide training and technical guidance to channel partners to strengthen go-to-market effectiveness
- Leverage internal tools and platforms to track opportunities, manage technical assets, and ensure readiness across the sales cycle
- Support organizational initiatives by contributing to best practice sharing, conflict resolution, and cross-functional collaboration
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical sales, systems engineering, or related roles within enterprise infrastructure or cybersecurity
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience delivering live demonstrations, technical workshops, and public speaking engagements
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt messaging based on audience needs
- Self-driven learner with curiosity about emerging technologies and automation practices
- Ability to translate technical features into tangible business value
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications relevant to networking, security, or cloud platforms
- Familiarity with F5 products and architectures
Technical Expertise
- Application delivery controllers (ADC), DNS, and CDN in hardware, software, and SaaS environments
- Cloud networking on major public and private cloud platforms
- Microservices, containerization, Kubernetes, and service mesh architectures
- API gateways and ingress management via Gateway API
- Application security including web application firewalls, DDoS protection, bot defense, API security, identity & access management, and AI security (aligned with OWASP LLM Top 10)
- Automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Git, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies
- DevOps and security-as-code principles
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model based in Dubai, combining office collaboration with flexible remote work. Travel may be required to support customer and partner engagements.
