Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is hiring a Sr Technical Product Analyst

About the Role

Analyze user behavior across key digital touchpoints including multi-raters, aggregators, and customer-facing platforms to understand engagement patterns and identify opportunities for optimization. Using SQL and Python, extract, clean, and model complex datasets to uncover trends in the sales funnel and customer journey.

Improve Product Experience Through Data

Translate analytical findings into practical recommendations that enhance usability and customer satisfaction. Work closely with product teams to ensure insights inform roadmap priorities and feature development, aligning technical analysis with business goals.

Build and Maintain Analytics Infrastructure

Develop and manage interactive dashboards in PowerBI to deliver real-time visibility into conversion metrics, lead progression, and key performance indicators. Implement robust data collection practices and maintain anomaly detection systems to flag irregularities early.

Collaborate Across Technical and Business Functions

Partner with engineering, data, and product stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and promote a culture of evidence-based decision-making. Communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, supporting strategic initiatives with reliable insights.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in data analytics, data engineering, or data science roles
  • 4+ years focused on product analytics, user behavior, and performance measurement
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and pipeline development
  • Experience with PowerBI or similar visualization tools
  • Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and tools such as dbt
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms
  • Ability to detect data inconsistencies and deliver meaningful conclusions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Background

Experience in property and casualty (P&C) insurance is a plus, though not required. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to integrity, customer focus, innovation, and collaboration.
