Responsibilities
- Architect and enhance a global-scale data platform to support growing data demands
- Develop and manage high-throughput data pipelines handling millions of daily events
- Establish standards for ingesting, transforming, processing, and storing data
- Guide team development and promote modern big data methodologies
- Enhance AI infrastructure by building and maintaining Python-based API services using Django
- Maintain and optimize Airflow workflows and improve performance of MongoDB and PostgreSQL for analytical workloads
- Design and manage real-time data streaming systems, including migration to event-driven platforms like Kafka
- Support and evolve internal OLAP and data lake solutions such as Clickhouse
- Manage containerized infrastructure using Kubernetes and Docker for engineering-wide compute needs
- Strengthen CI/CD pipelines and expand automation across development and deployment workflows
- Write backend systems code to accelerate delivery during tight timelines or resource constraints
- Participate in required company meetings, team standups, and quarterly in-person offsites
- Promote high engineering standards and lead adoption of best practices across teams
