Analog Devices is hiring a Staff Engineer, Digital Design Engineering

About the Role

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll lead the development of high-speed serial data communication integrated circuits within a cross-functional team. You'll contribute to defining product specifications and feasibility studies, focusing on automotive applications that demand robust, low-power performance. Your primary responsibility will be RTL design of digital blocks using SystemVerilog, ensuring alignment with system-level requirements.

You'll develop and execute verification strategies for both block-level and full-chip designs, running regressions and ensuring functional correctness across stages. Collaboration with physical design teams is essential—you'll support synthesis, static timing analysis, DFT implementation, and timing-driven place and route processes. You'll also assist test engineering teams in refining production test programs and perform bench validation of your designs.

As a technical resource, you'll respond to customer and applications inquiries, providing deep insight into design behavior and performance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on IC or VLSI design
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital design and verification
  • Proven expertise in RTL design and verification using SystemVerilog for high-speed, low-power applications
  • Strong familiarity with digital design toolchains and verification methodologies
  • Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly
  • Experience working in collaborative, global engineering environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in UVM-based verification environments
  • Experience supporting synthesis, DFT, and timing-critical physical design flows
  • Knowledge of video and audio data communication protocols and processing

Benefits

You'll work within a diverse, inclusive organization committed to equal opportunity across all dimensions of identity. This role offers direct involvement in cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of mobility, smart manufacturing, and digital health. As part of a global team of approximately 24,000 professionals, you'll collaborate across regions including Europe, Asia, and the United States, contributing to products that define industry advancements.
