As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a key technical leadership role in shaping a large-scale distributed platform that processes billions of documents from social and traditional media. Your work will center on designing and refining high-throughput APIs and data pipelines that power real-time search, filtering, and analytical capabilities for interactive insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize scalable APIs and distributed data processing systems handling massive document volumes
- Enhance large-scale indexing, search, and data aggregation infrastructure for performance and reliability
- Lead performance tuning to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and maximize resource utilization across cloud and on-premise environments
- Develop capabilities that allow users to derive meaningful insights from petabyte-scale datasets
- Lead technical discussions, influence architecture decisions, and coordinate engineering initiatives across teams
Qualifications
You bring at least five years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on scalable systems and high-volume data processing. You have a proven ability to guide technical direction and collaborate effectively in complex environments.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale data architectures
- Demonstrated leadership in solving challenging technical problems
