Shape the future of data infrastructure as a Staff Software Engineer on a team dedicated to empowering engineers through scalable platforms and intelligent tooling. You'll play a central role in refining data pipeline workflows, improving configuration frameworks, and reducing technical complexity across systems.
What You'll Do
- Lead technical decision-making for platform-wide data workflows, balancing immediate needs with long-term scalability
- Gain deep insight into common engineering workflows and align infrastructure improvements with broader organizational goals
- Collaborate across teams to establish and promote engineering best practices, design patterns, and performance standards
- Advocate for engineering needs while translating business requirements into technical direction
- Own and evolve core infrastructure abstractions, improving code quality and reducing technical debt
- Design and introduce new tools, standards, and processes that enhance developer productivity across multiple domains
- Mentor engineers, delegate effectively, and create pathways for professional growth within the team
- Partner with engineering leadership to prioritize roadmap initiatives that deliver maximum impact
What We're Looking For
- Strong command of Python or Go, with a solid foundation in computer science principles like concurrency, data structures, and distributed systems
- Proven experience in platform engineering, with a track record of cross-team collaboration
- Familiarity with AWS and GCP environments and cloud-native architecture patterns
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot or Claude Code
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and articulate technical trade-offs
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and initiative leadership in complex technical environments
- Experience coaching engineers and fostering high-performing teams
