As a Staff Software Engineer, Full-Stack, you will lead architectural design and hands-on development for a critical platform that powers grading operations. Your work will directly influence system stability, scalability, and long-term technical direction. You'll guide modernization initiatives, including the adoption of AI and machine learning capabilities, while ensuring robust performance across all layers of the application stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Own features from initial concept through deployment, participating fully in the software lifecycle
- Enhance and maintain backend services built primarily in .NET C#, with components in Python
- Develop and optimize frontend experiences using Vue.js
- Collaborate with Product and cross-functional teams to define and refine business requirements
- Diagnose and resolve issues in a complex, large-scale codebase
- Design and implement unit and integration tests to ensure reliability
- Document technical decisions and system designs to improve long-term maintainability
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on backend development
- Production experience with Python and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js or React
- Proven ability in data modeling and relational database design
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and AWS services
- Track record of working closely with Product teams to deliver business value
- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills
- Understanding of security, monitoring, and documentation best practices
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Preferred Background
- Experience with strongly typed languages like C# or Java
- History of designing scalable systems—service-oriented, event-driven, or distributed architectures in cloud environments

Compensation
Salary range: $209,186 – $258,903. Actual pay depends on location, experience, skill level, and job tier. Equity may be offered based on role and qualifications.
