We're building a robust, always-on logistics engine that connects consumers, merchants, and delivery partners at global scale. As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll play a central role in shaping backend systems that power every transaction and interaction across the platform.
What You’ll Do
- Design, deploy, and maintain high-volume web services that support core marketplace functionality
- Lead architectural decisions for backend systems, guiding the evolution from monolithic to microservice-based designs
- Enhance system performance, reliability, and security across distributed environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance technical needs with business priorities
- Develop RESTful APIs and scalable data pipelines using modern infrastructure patterns
- Own the operational health of services that underpin product capabilities
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of professional software development, with a focus on backend systems
- Proven track record working with service-oriented architectures and distributed systems
- Strong grasp of web protocols, REST, and database technologies including SQL and NoSQL
- Hands-on experience with Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Spark, or S3
- Familiarity with Java or Kotlin is a plus
- Contributions to open source projects are valued
