Shape the foundation of a global SaaS platform as a Staff Software Engineer on the Pulsar team. You'll design and maintain backend systems that power critical admin and platform services across all product lines, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security at every level.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical design efforts by drafting and refining architecture documents in collaboration with peers
- Review code with a focus on long-term maintainability, system impact, and alignment with business goals
- Enhance observability by improving logging, monitoring, and alerting for high-availability services
- Guide integration efforts around authentication and authorization systems
- Break down complex initiatives in Jira and help distribute work across the team
- Deploy services through CI/CD pipelines and support smooth production rollouts
- Work closely with product managers to align technical direction with customer needs
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of backend development experience using Python and distributed data systems
- Proven track record designing secure, scalable APIs for SaaS environments
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms and operating production systems at scale
- Solid understanding of web security, including authentication and authorization best practices
Nice to Have
- Experience with Java/Spring or Go
- Frontend exposure using React or Angular
- Active use of AI-powered coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code

Compensation
Starting at 4,400 € gross per month, with final offers adjusted based on experience. Includes stock options or RSUs, performance bonuses, and an immediate referral bonus of up to $3,000. Total compensation reflects role, seniority, and location.
