Role Overview
As the Staff Software Engineer (SAP BTP SRE Lead), you will oversee the production support and technical direction for SAP BTP CPI applications. Your work will ensure high availability, performance, and operational excellence across critical systems. You will lead a distributed team and play a central role in shaping engineering practices and deployment strategies for a large-scale digital transformation effort.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with on-site architects and engineering leads to refine development approaches, governance, and architectural standards for SAP BTP initiatives
- Lead and mentor an offshore support team while coordinating with product and engineering groups to assess and implement custom development solutions
- Design and document technical procedures for deployment, rollout, and operational continuity
- Oversee production deployments and ensure alignment with change and release management processes
- Coordinate with Testing, Change Management, and Product Teams to prioritize and schedule system enhancements based on business requirements
- Develop communication protocols for incident response and service disruptions to keep stakeholders informed
Required Expertise
- Proven experience administering and securing BTP Cloud Foundry environments
- Advanced knowledge of AEM and its integration within enterprise operations
- Direct experience working with Edge Integration Cell for hybrid connectivity
Technology Environment
Core platforms include SAP BTP, SAP CPI, BTP Cloud Foundry (CF), AEM, and Edge Integration Cell. Your work will center on ensuring stable, scalable operations across these systems.
