Role Overview

Starting in 2026, this position offers a career entry point for engineering graduates joining a well-regarded structural engineering practice based in Charleston, South Carolina. You'll engage with a broad range of projects—from high-rise buildings and hotels to bridges and retaining structures—gaining real-world experience through direct involvement and structured learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis and design of vertical and civil structures, ensuring alignment with applicable codes and safety standards
  • Conduct engineering calculations and generate comprehensive design documentation, including specifications and technical drawings
  • Use software tools such as Revit and Civil 3D to develop precise structural models and support project deliverables
  • Receive ongoing training and guidance from experienced engineers while contributing to plan development and project coordination
  • Take part in site inspections to verify field conditions and support construction oversight
  • Collaborate with project teams during coordination meetings and assist in preparing technical reports and client-facing materials
  • Engage with project financials and client communication under supervision, building business acumen alongside technical skills

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2026. Proficiency with Revit and Civil 3D is expected, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ideal candidates are detail-focused, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and within collaborative teams.

This is an onsite role with flexibility in scheduling, including half-day Fridays.
