Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and oversight of security policies and procedures under managerial direction, ensuring employee safety and site welfare.
- Manage and guide security staff, conduct performance evaluations, and recommend training to enhance team effectiveness.
- Demonstrate advanced expertise in IP-based physical security technologies, including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, and related electronic systems.
- Evaluate operational scenarios swiftly, make informed decisions, and develop actionable response strategies.
- Detect potential risks and improvement areas, conduct thorough analysis, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deploy solutions.
- Adjust security protocols to meet evolving demands in a fast-moving, high-visibility industrial setting.
- Maintain clear communication with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align security objectives with organizational priorities.

On-site — Austin, Texas

- Must be available to work variable schedules, including overtime, nights, weekends, and rotating shifts.
- Position requires enhanced pre-employment screening: background investigation, psychological evaluation, bi-annual physical fitness assessments, and drug and alcohol testing.
- Capable of wearing 20-30 pounds of equipment continuously during 12-hour shifts and lifting or transporting 40-50 pounds of gear independently.
- Able to remain standing for long durations and perform duties effectively in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, and rain.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time when required to support security operations.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Must possess or qualify for a state-issued security officer license.
- Must be able to pass Air Force and NASA background checks for authorized facility access.
- Eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance; candidates with active clearance will undergo pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
- Must possess or be eligible for both a state security officer license and a Level III Commissioned Security Officer license.
- To comply with U.S. export control laws, applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, asylees under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or eligible for required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
