As a Tableau Developer, you will be responsible for creating and managing advanced Tableau dashboards and reports that support strategic business functions. Your work will focus on transforming complex data into actionable insights through intuitive visualizations, ensuring solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance Tableau reports and dashboards using advanced features such as LOD expressions, data blending, and optimized filtering logic.
- Develop and maintain diverse data sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and Excel, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver analytics solutions through iterative feedback and refinement.
- Administer Tableau Cloud environments, manage data connectivity via Tableau Bridge, and support ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all deliverables follow established development standards, style guidelines, and performance benchmarks.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to reports, data accuracy, and system performance.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing complex Tableau dashboards and data visualizations.
- Strong command of Tableau architecture, including advanced calculations, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database systems, with experience integrating multiple data sources.
- Advanced Excel skills, including macros and pivot tables.
- Solid understanding of data blending, cloud-based data connections, and statistical functions.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills when managing concurrent projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in property and casualty insurance or related industries.
- Hold one or more official Tableau certifications.
- Degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, or a related analytical field.
