This internship offers a practical role within a global research organization focused on international development, security, and cooperation. You will assist in generating insights through research, data processing, and analytical support for ongoing initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare background documents and summaries for research initiatives
- Support the planning and coordination of training activities
- Gather, organize, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
- Track political, social, and security developments in key regions
- Assist in drafting reports, briefings, and presentation materials
What We’re Looking For
Applicants should be currently enrolled in or have recently completed a postgraduate degree (Master’s, PhD, or Level 7+ apprenticeship) in one of two streams: either in political science, history, international development, or security studies; or in economics, statistics, data science, engineering, or a related technical field with strong quantitative training.
Essential skills include solid experience in both qualitative research and quantitative analysis, including the use of statistical and econometric methods for modeling data relationships and forecasting. Proficiency in at least one programming or database language such as Python, R, Stata, SQL, or No-SQL is required. Fluency in English and strong written communication abilities are essential.
