As a Test Engineer supporting autonomous vehicle development, you will work remotely to evaluate and validate advanced software systems in simulation and real-world testing environments. Your primary focus will be identifying, analyzing, and resolving system-level issues through detailed debugging using logs, telemetry, and performance data.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and triage failures across simulation and vehicle testing platforms
- Conduct end-to-end quality assurance and validation across integrated software and hardware systems
- Use system data and telemetry to trace issues and determine root causes
- Develop lightweight automation tools and Python scripts to streamline testing processes
- Support the evolution of test frameworks, dashboards, and internal tooling
- Identify areas of incomplete test coverage and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and verify fixes
- Document test outcomes, defects, and resolution progress using tracking systems like Jira
Qualifications
Applicants should have at least three years of experience in systems testing, QA, or validation within complex software environments, particularly those involving autonomous systems. Proficiency in Python for test automation and debugging is essential, along with hands-on experience analyzing system behavior through logs and telemetry.
Preferred candidates will have background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or simulation platforms, exposure to sensor technologies such as LiDAR, cameras, or radar, and experience with C++ or low-level system debugging.
