Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures
- Generate financial statements and internal reporting packages
- Assist in audit coordination with external auditors
- Monitor and classify expenses across departments
- Collaborate with teams to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
- Track and report on key financial metrics
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Review vendor invoices and coding accuracy
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities
- Maintain documentation for financial transactions
- Identify process improvements in accounting workflows
- Support intercompany transaction reporting
- Apply consistent accounting standards across operations
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding financial data
- Participate in system upgrades and financial software projects
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports
- Evaluate accounting policies for regulatory adherence
- Assist in tax preparation documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum of three years of professional accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proven track record in month-end close processes
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy standards
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently
- Experience in audit support roles preferred
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation
- Knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Problem-solving skills applied to financial data
