Moog is hiring an UK Payroll Specialist

About the Role

The role involves managing end-to-end payroll processes for UK employees, ensuring adherence to tax regulations, payroll legislation, and internal policies while supporting audit readiness and month-end activities.

Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely payroll for UK-based employees across various departments
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, National Insurance, and statutory requirements
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to reconcile payroll data and adjustments
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records in payroll and HR systems
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management
  • Support year-end processes including P60 and P11D preparation
  • Manage pension contributions and auto-enrolment compliance
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll outputs to ensure data integrity
  • Assist in payroll reporting for financial and management reviews
  • Stay current with changes in UK employment and payroll legislation
  • Coordinate with external payroll providers where applicable
  • Handle payroll for complex pay scenarios including bonuses, leave, and deductions
  • Support payroll during organizational changes such as mergers or restructuring
  • Ensure secure handling of sensitive employee compensation data
  • Prepare journal entries for payroll-related general ledger postings
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation
  • Implement process improvements to increase payroll efficiency and accuracy
  • Train team members on payroll policies and system updates
  • Monitor payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain documentation for payroll procedures and controls
