This national education organization is seeking a Vice President, Talent Strategy to lead the design and execution of integrated people and performance strategies. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer with a dotted line to the Chief People Officer, this leader will ensure talent capabilities evolve in step with organizational growth and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate long-term organizational strategy into actionable talent requirements, identifying current and future skill needs across functions
- Apply predictive analytics to model workforce trends and strengthen the sustainability of human capital planning
- Collaborate with executive leaders to close talent gaps and implement scalable solutions
- Partner with HR and executive leadership to refine and communicate the organization’s long-term people strategy
- Embed core values into leadership behaviors, decision-making, and talent processes including hiring, onboarding, and recognition
- Lead cultural transformation initiatives in alignment with strategic priorities, working closely with Organizational Development & Effectiveness
- Design recognition frameworks that reinforce high performance and cultural alignment
- Enhance collaboration in hybrid and remote environments by establishing effective meeting rhythms, virtual decision-making practices, and cross-functional alignment
- Coach leaders on inclusive communication, remote team management, and collaborative norms
- Partner with operations and technology teams to ensure collaboration tools and workflows enable seamless, productive teamwork
- Oversee implementation of a unified performance and goal-setting system using OKRs and KPIs across all levels
- Support HR and managers in cascading goals, setting measurable objectives, and conducting meaningful performance reviews
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to foster continuous feedback, development, and accountability
- Advise on compensation structures, incentive plans, and reward systems to align with performance and culture goals
Qualifications
Candidates should bring 12–15+ years of leadership experience in talent management, organizational development, or culture strategy, ideally within mission-driven or rapidly scaling environments. Proven success in scaling cultural frameworks, designing performance systems, and leading change is essential. Experience in hybrid or remote-first organizations, along with expertise in compensation design and data-informed decision-making, is required. A bachelor’s degree is mandatory; a master’s degree is preferred.

This is a hybrid role based in the Boston metropolitan area, combining remote work with periodic in-person meetings in a co-working environment.
