Valtech is looking for an Android Automotive Developer to contribute to its Mobility business unit. You will join the global Connected Vehicle team, developing connected vehicle technologies for major automotive OEMs.
What You'll Do
- Develop mobile applications for Android Automotive OS and Car applications.
- Connect mobile applications to back-end services using RESTful APIs.
- Design and develop UI using Jetpack Compose and Material Design.
- Implement Android Architecture, Principles, and Design patterns like MVVM, Clean, SOLID, DRY.
- Utilize Android Jetpack components including ViewModel, Coroutines, Flow, Room, and WorkManager.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience in mobile app development.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Core Java.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
- Working understanding of Android Architecture, Principles and Design patterns (MVVM, Clean, SOLID, DRY).
- Understanding of Dependency Injection and implementing Koin or Dagger.
- Proficiency in UI design and development using Jetpack Compose and Material Design.
- Experience with Android Jetpack, ViewModel, Coroutines, Flow, Room (and Sqlite), and WorkManager.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge with AAOS and Car applications.
- Familiarity with test frameworks like JUnit, Mockk and Espresso.
- Experience working in Git, Jira, Figma and other productivity tools.
- Familiarity with continuous integration, and quality tools like Jenkins, SonarQube.
- Knowledge of agile development approaches, such as scrum.
