About the Role
The role involves providing technical expertise for Brocade SAN environments, diagnosing and resolving complex storage network issues, and working directly with customers to ensure system reliability and uptime.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex storage area network issues involving Brocade hardware
- Perform onsite installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAN infrastructure
- Collaborate with customers to ensure continuous operation of mission-critical systems
- Analyze performance metrics and optimize SAN fabric efficiency
- Troubleshoot switch-level and fabric-level connectivity problems
- Support firmware upgrades and configuration changes on Brocade devices
- Document technical configurations and changes in customer environments
- Respond to high-priority incidents with minimal downtime
- Work closely with support teams to escalate and resolve technical challenges
- Validate network redundancy and failover mechanisms
- Ensure compliance with security and operational best practices
- Provide technical guidance during storage infrastructure migrations
- Monitor SAN health using diagnostic and monitoring tools
- Assist in root cause analysis for recurring network anomalies
- Maintain accurate records of service activities and resolutions
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners when necessary
- Deliver post-implementation reviews and system validation
- Follow change management procedures for all network modifications
- Support disaster recovery testing and planning activities
- Train customer staff on basic SAN operations and monitoring
- Respond to after-hours support requests as required
- Ensure compatibility between storage devices and fabric layers
- Evaluate new technologies for integration into existing environments
- Adhere to SLAs for response and resolution times
- Maintain professional conduct during customer engagements

Required Certifications

Work Hours
- Standard business hours with on-call responsibilities
