The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess business needs and enhance operational efficiency within the healthcare sector. Reporting to the Director of Claims, this position plays a key role in interpreting data, refining processes, and ensuring successful implementation of systems and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data to support business projects, uncover obstacles to implementation, and validate system functionality through user testing
- Investigate user workflows, requirements, and pain points to recommend meaningful process improvements
- Conduct in-depth project analysis, propose actionable solutions, and support execution efforts
- Enhance reporting capabilities for performance tracking and operational oversight
- Integrate standardized best practices into business applications to improve consistency and efficiency
- Coordinate problem resolution across multiple departments and support inter-team alignment
- Help develop and update internal policies and procedures to reflect evolving business needs
- Perform regular data validation using established protocols to ensure accuracy and compliance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
- 2–4 years of experience in business process analysis or data analysis
- Proven background in the healthcare industry
- Experience with SQL for reporting and data extraction
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills with a focus on transparency and collaboration across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in claims processing
- Experience editing and manipulating data using SQL
- Familiarity with project management methodologies or practices
Technical Environment
Primary tools include SQL for data analysis and the Microsoft Office Suite, with heavy reliance on Excel for modeling and reporting.
Work Structure
This position follows a hybrid model, allowing flexibility to work both remotely and from the office on a weekly basis. The physical location is based in Monterey Park, CA.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $72,747.14 to $93,368.83. The organization supports a hybrid work environment, promoting work-life balance and accessibility.
