Help build and refine a high-traffic Sportsbook platform as part of a collaborative engineering team based in Barcelona. This hybrid role focuses on enhancing system performance, scalability, and resilience through backend development in Go (Golang), directly supporting a global iGaming platform powered by innovation and technical excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with developers to optimize system architecture and deliver reliable, scalable backend services
- Design and implement new features for the Sportsbook platform with a focus on long-term maintainability
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks across API, service, and UI layers
- Define quality metrics and acceptance criteria during feature planning and design phases
- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing and quality checks
- Identify potential risks early by engaging in technical design discussions
- Work closely with product teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure seamless delivery
- Contribute to performance, security, and accessibility testing strategies
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in Go, Java, or C# with a solid foundation in backend development
- Hands-on experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka and microservices built with Node.js
- Understanding of CI/CD workflows using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Experience operating in Kubernetes environments and applying architectural patterns like Domain-Driven Design and Hexagonal Architecture
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot under pressure in live systems
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Background
- Exposure to regulated industries, particularly online gaming or sports-related technology
- Prior software development experience with an emphasis on quality assurance
- Mentorship or coaching experience in technical quality practices
- Knowledge of A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
- Familiarity with Agile or Kanban methodologies
- Confidence in presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences
