Medtronic is hiring a Clinical Specialist Surgical Robotics (m/w/d)

About the Role

As a Clinical Specialist in Surgical Robotics, you will play a key role in advancing robotic-assisted surgery by supporting hospitals across Southwest Germany in adopting and refining their use of the HUGO™ RAS-system. Your primary focus will be building strong relationships with clinical teams to assess needs, define program objectives, and track progress through measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and surgical teams to design and implement robotic surgery programs tailored to their goals
  • Develop and manage comprehensive training curricula for surgeons and operating room staff
  • Organize and facilitate off-site training sessions and coordinate proctored procedures as needed
  • Provide hands-on support during early surgical cases to ensure smooth adoption of new techniques
  • Apply change management strategies to foster acceptance and long-term success of robotic programs
  • Work alongside field service engineers and hospital personnel to prepare operating rooms for system installation and operation
  • Coach clinical teams to build internal expertise and sustain program growth independently

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Biomedical Engineering or Nursing is required. Fluency in both German and English is essential. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in an operating room environment or related surgical setting. Willingness to travel frequently within the country—exceeding 75% of work time—is a core requirement. A master’s degree is preferred, and additional language skills are considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an annual salary range between 51,200 and 76,800 EUR, complemented by the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP), a performance-based short-term incentive. Work Location

This is a field-based role focused on Southwest Germany, covering Baden-Württemberg, Rheinland-Pfalz, Hessen, and Nordrhein-Westfalen. The position requires regular regional travel.
