Calix is looking for a Collaboration Systems & AI Innovation Intern for a full-time summer internship. In this remote role, based in the United States or Canada, you will explore the intersection of company communication and intelligent productivity. You will have a direct impact on our global messaging platforms and help deploy AI-driven tools to make work smarter.
What You'll Do
- Build and test custom GPTs and conversational bots with Microsoft Copilot Studio to address business challenges.
- Maintain and optimize Microsoft Teams and Slack environments for seamless messaging and conferencing.
- Create 'How-To' guides, video walkthroughs, and documentation to drive employee adoption of tools like Microsoft Copilot and video conferencing.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to web/video conferencing and collaboration software.
- Monitor usage trends and feedback to identify opportunities for improved tool adoption and workflow automation.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.
- You follow the latest trends in Generative AI and have a genuine interest in how LLMs work.
- You proactively dig into settings and documentation to find solutions, not just report problems.
- You can explain technical concepts to non-technical people clearly and patiently.
- Able to work for the complete summer break (May – August or June – September).
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Power Platform.
- Basic scripting experience in PowerShell or Python.
- Experience moderating or managing online communities like Microsoft Teams or Slack.

- San Francisco Bay Area: 23.00 - 29.90 USD Hourly
- Select US Metros and States: 20.00 - 26.00 USD Hourly
- Other US Locations: 18.00 - 23.40 USD Hourly
