Responsibilities
- Maintain a financial accounting system for accurate and timely recording, allocation, and monitoring of all financial transactions in the general ledger system, adhering to standards issued by FASB, GASB, and other authoritative bodies.
- Process and develop the operating budget, including statistical, expense, revenue, capital, and cash budgets, and create budgeted financial statements. Set specific objectives, department budgets, and performance standards for each area of responsibility.
- Monitor budget performance, provide ongoing reporting and variance explanations, and facilitate early recognition of changes in circumstances to make timely operating adjustments when necessary.
- Coordinate operations by directing staff in general accounting, budgeting, cash forecasting and management, capital asset management, and accounts receivables. Provide direct oversight to all areas, review employees’ work periodically, and ensure quality and corrective actions are implemented.
- Utilize data visualization techniques to design and implement dashboard reports for senior management, identifying key performance benchmarks and monitoring company financial health.
- Lead, refine, and oversee centralized intake and referral processes for all post-acute service lines, ensuring timely, efficient, and patient-centered care transitions from acute and ambulatory settings to home-based services.
- Ensure effective billing and revenue cycle functions for home medical equipment, including accurate and timely management of Accounts Receivable, denial resolution, WIP corrections, and billing for special products.
- Lead efforts to optimize the revenue cycle, improve financial outcomes, and support seamless collaboration with insurance providers and internal teams.
