We are hey contact heroes GmbH, looking for a Head of Business Intelligence (m/w/d) to shape the data-driven future of WHOW Games. In this role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Business Intelligence & Data Infrastructure area, driving decisions across the company.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Business Intelligence & Data Infrastructure area.
- Lead a high-performance BI team consisting of Data Analysts, Analytical Engineers, and Data Engineers.
- Further develop our data and analytics infrastructure, including Data Warehouse, ETL processes, and reporting architecture.
- Manage requirements from Marketing, Product, and CRM teams, translating them into analyses and technical concepts.
- Conceive and implement analytical models to optimize player retention, monetization, and in-game performance.
- Build and maintain meaningful dashboards for data-driven decision-making in various departments.
- Collaborate closely with C-Level, Game Design, Product, and Marketing teams to derive concrete measures.
What We're Looking For
- A completed degree in Business Informatics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Administration, a related field, or comparable knowledge through professional experience.
- Several years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.
- First leadership experience in interdisciplinary BI or Data teams.
- Deep understanding of data visualization and experience with common tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Very good knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language like Python or R.
- Experience with cloud-based data architectures (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS, GCP).
- Strong ability to translate complex data into understandable insights and actionable recommendations.
- Fluent language skills in English and German.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the Games or Digital industry.
- Passion for games and a good understanding of player psychology and monetization strategies.
