As a Lab Network Engineer Intern, you'll play a key role in supporting technical operations by configuring and maintaining network infrastructure. You'll work closely with experienced engineers to set up lab environments that mirror real-world customer networks, helping to isolate and analyze technical issues across hardware, software, and configurations.
What You'll Do
- Learn core networking concepts including routing, switching, TCP/IP, and the OSI model through hands-on practice
- Deploy and maintain network equipment such as multi-layer Ethernet switches for use in technical diagnostics
- Collaborate with support engineers to replicate customer network challenges in a controlled lab setting
- Perform routine lab tasks including racking, cabling, troubleshooting, and equipment management
- Document procedures and findings clearly to support team knowledge and SLA compliance
- Contribute to process improvements and assist in training others on lab systems and workflows
- Pursue product certifications and complete internal training modules to build technical depth
