This role is designed for individuals beginning their journey in data engineering who want to build a strong foundation in modern data systems. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to real-world data solutions while deepening your technical and analytical skills.
What You’ll Do
- Support the development and maintenance of data warehouse components by implementing business logic under senior guidance
- Translate business needs into simple data models and transformation workflows
- Build, monitor, and troubleshoot ETL processes using Azure Data Factory
- Assist with data ingestion, validation checks, and basic performance tuning of queries
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to map data flows and clarify requirements
- Document processes and help maintain development best practices
- Gradually introduce suggestions for improving data workflows as your expertise grows
What We’re Looking For
- Up to 1.5 years of experience in data or software-related roles
- Practical experience with SQL and a commitment to using it as a core tool
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, or a strong drive to learn Azure-based data platforms
- Basic understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented SQL queries
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Interest in data warehousing and analytical reporting systems
- Exposure to Agile methods through academic projects, internships, or early professional experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, dbt, or similar ETL tools
- Basic knowledge of Databricks
- Familiarity with supply chain or logistics domains
- Exposure to SAP data, particularly from MM or related modules
