Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical contact at the contract manufacturer's site
- Track daily production progress and verify alignment with timelines and SLAs
- Keep updated records in the official Production Tracker or Logbook
- Detect potential issues early and escalate delays or bottlenecks promptly
- Install and set up the software environment on production systems
- Carry out factory acceptance tests to validate system functionality
- Confirm systems meet operational standards before shipping
- Remotely set up and customize companion tablets
- Test integration and network connectivity of production units
- Verify all systems are fully prepared for release
- Conduct physical quality checks on completed electronic devices
- Ensure builds meet design specifications, functional requirements, and documentation standards
- Record defects and work with manufacturing to resolve them
- Spot repeated problems and deliver structured input to engineering teams
- Coordinate shipments of finished products, replacement units, and parts
- Handle return processes for faulty hardware
- Track inventory levels to avoid stock shortages
- Partner with the Global Supply & Logistics Manager to sustain production flow
- Serve as the communication link between manufacturing and internal departments including supply chain, hardware, and software teams
- Deliver clear and accurate updates on engineering changes and production adjustments
- Highlight challenges in manufacturing processes and suggest improvements
