Workstate seeks a Lead Native Android Developer to provide hands-on agile technical leadership for a team dedicated to building robust and efficient Android applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into well-designed, performant features while fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on agile technical leadership for a team developing robust Android applications using Kotlin.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Ensure the code quality and performance of Android applications.
- Decompose and assign work to team members effectively.
- Remove blockers and maintain forward momentum for the development team.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of professional Android development experience with a strong focus on Java and Kotlin.
- Deep understanding of Android app architecture, design patterns, and UI/UX principles.
- Proficiency in developing applications using Android SDK, Android Studio, and related frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- B2 level (upper-intermediate) or higher English language competency with the ability to communicate effectively in professional settings.
- A track record as a technical leader with teamwide impact.
- Experience leading development teams in an agile context.
