OKTO is looking for a Mid Back End Developer to lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and high-performance APIs using Node.js. You will serve as a technical reference within the team, conducting code reviews and mentoring developers to foster growth and technical maturity.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and high-performance APIs using Node.js, focusing on resilient architecture and long-term maintainability.
- Establish technical standards and best practices for integrating systems within a microservices architecture, ensuring service cohesion and platform scalability.
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and propose robust optimization strategies, ensuring high availability, reliability, and observability of services.
- Serve as a technical reference within the team by conducting thorough code reviews and mentoring less experienced developers.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture decisions and critical business flows.
- Collaborate with technical and product stakeholders to define backend solutions aligned with strategic business goals.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced proficiency in Node.js and its ecosystem, with proven experience in building complex backend systems.
- Strong background in microservices architecture, including asynchronous communication strategies, API contract management, and versioning.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and consumption.
- Experience with both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, including efficient data modeling and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools in production environments.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in performance tuning, observability practices, and monitoring tools.
- Fluent in Portuguese and located in Brazil.
