The NOC Engineer I plays a key role in maintaining the stability and performance of network systems by delivering technical support for critical infrastructure components. This includes continuous monitoring of network alerts, diagnosing connectivity issues, and resolving incidents related to routers, switches, firewalls, and security appliances. The engineer ensures services remain within defined SLAs through timely response, accurate documentation, and effective coordination during outages.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve low- to medium-complexity network incidents using remote tools or on-site support
- Monitor system health and proactively address device failures across client environments
- Configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and related services including VPNs, Citrix, and Terminal Services
- Support disaster recovery efforts and participate in crisis management during unplanned outages
- Document all service activities, escalations, and resolutions in the PSA system daily
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and client representatives to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Implement and maintain network security policies in coordination with security teams
- Design and deploy local and wide area networks, including wireless infrastructure and virtualized systems
- Track and report operational deficiencies to management and client stakeholders
- Participate in discovery sessions to understand client requirements and support solution design
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least four years of hands-on technical support or NOC experience, with demonstrated expertise in network protocols including DNS, SMTP, and SNMP. Two or more years of experience managing routers, switches, and wireless access points is required. Proficiency with ticketing systems and the MS Office Suite is essential.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in IT or business, certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet NSE 3 or 4, or ITIL Foundations, and experience with ConnectWise or similar PSA platforms. Familiarity with voice technologies like VoIP or PBX is advantageous.

This is an onsite position based in Orlando, FL, with limited flexibility for remote work.
