Role OverviewJoin an essential team responsible for maintaining and supporting client computing systems within a public sector IT environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and meeting room technology used across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain client hardware and software across a diverse computing environment. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices. Support the deployment and lifecycle management of computing equipment, including provisioning, updates, and decommissioning.
- Configure and support communication devices, desktop and laptop computers, and presentation systems in conference spaces
- Collaborate on defining standards for device configuration, system administration, and client environment policies
- Monitor system performance and availability to ensure alignment with operational requirements
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the service desk system following established procedures
- Facilitate communication between end users and technical teams to improve service delivery
- Assist in evaluating new technologies and recommending solutions for client computing needs
QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, or a closely related field is required. Alternatively, an associate’s degree combined with two years of relevant IT experience involving client system administration and support is acceptable. Candidates must demonstrate documented experience in both education and work history sections of their application.
A valid driver license is required at time of application, and a valid Arizona driver license is required upon appointment. The selected candidate will undergo a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review. Maintaining required licenses and certifications is mandatory for continued employment.
Preferred ExperienceExperience with PowerShell scripting, Active Directory, Azure, Exchange, Intune, and Office 365 is highly valued. Familiarity with SaaS applications, desktop software, and end-user support enhances candidacy. A formal resume submission is encouraged in addition to the application.
Work EnvironmentThis is an onsite position located in Tucson, AZ, with no remote option. Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be necessary to support system rollouts and maintenance activities. Compensation & BenefitsThe hiring range is $60,507 – $72,612 annually, with a pay range extending to $84,718 based on qualifications.
