Nexun Holding is hiring a Project Development Manager (f/m/d) Photovoltaic / Permitting

About the Role

What You'll Do

Drive the end-to-end technical development of utility-scale photovoltaic and battery energy storage projects in Italy, from initial site assessment to achieving full permitting clearance. Evaluate land suitability in collaboration with GIS specialists, using spatial data to identify optimal project locations.

Design detailed technical layouts using industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Glint, and PVCase, and conduct energy yield simulations with PVSyst to maximize project performance and economic returns. Ensure all technical documentation supports permitting applications and aligns with grid connection requirements.

Manage the entire permitting lifecycle, including PAS and AU procedures, coordinating with local authorities, public agencies, co-developers, and consultants. Maintain accurate data rooms, monitor regulatory developments, and implement risk mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Deliver regular progress updates and milestone reports to senior management.

Orchestrate collaboration between internal departments and external partners across multiple countries, ensuring alignment on technical, legal, and environmental aspects. Maintain strict control over project timelines and deliverables in a dynamic, multi-project environment.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in the development phase of medium-voltage solar projects, with a focus on permitting and technical planning
  • Proven experience with grid connection applications and interaction with DNOs and TSOs via online portals
  • Strong grasp of environmental regulations, technical documentation standards, and negotiation processes with public entities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Glint, PVCase, PVSyst, and GIS tools such as Vmap
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to lead multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Fluent in Italian (native level) and proficient in English for cross-border communication
  • Results-driven mindset with a clear focus on deadlines and project outcomes
