Lead and deliver early-phase clinical research initiatives with a focus on quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. In this role, you will manage end-to-end execution of interdisciplinary studies, ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory standards, and internal procedures. You will serve as the main point of contact between the sponsor and internal teams, driving timelines, budget control, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical research projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations
- Ensure compliance with GCP, applicable regulations, and standard operating procedures across all study activities
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate deliverables across multiple partners and departments
- Monitor financial performance, including budget tracking, forecasting, and cost management
- Maintain accurate study documentation in databases and ensure inspection readiness
- Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans to support study continuity
- Facilitate internal and external meetings, including study planning and progress reviews
- Generate and distribute project status reports for clients and leadership
- Support business growth by building trusted relationships with sponsors
- May include line management of project team members and monitoring staff
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, or a related field is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory standards. Proven ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and communicate clearly—both verbally and in writing—is essential. Experience in a clinical research organization (CRO) and within specific therapeutic areas is preferred. Familiarity with digital tools and emerging technologies in clinical operations is an asset.
Work Environment
This position is based locally in one of the following countries: Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, Portugal, Hungary, Poland, or South Africa. The role may require up to 25% travel. You will work within a collaborative, agile environment focused on innovation and patient-centered outcomes.
