About the Role

As a Regional Account Manager in the nuclear power industry, you will oversee customer relationships and expand business within your designated region. This remote position requires residency in the territory and frequent travel—up to 75% of the time—to customer sites, facilities, and industry events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main liaison for existing clients and pursue new business opportunities to support revenue growth
  • Deliver technical guidance by understanding plant operations, safety standards, and equipment requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address technical inquiries and recommend solutions tailored to client needs
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead identification to proposal submission and deal closure
  • Prepare and present technical presentations and lead factory tours to support sales efforts
  • Track all sales activities and forecast data in the CRM system to ensure accuracy and transparency
  • Monitor customer maintenance schedules and project timelines to align service delivery
  • Share market insights, including competitor activity and customer decision drivers, to inform strategy
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and educational events to strengthen industry presence
  • Submit regular reports and travel plans to the Sales Director and maintain accurate calendars

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or have equivalent experience in the nuclear field. A minimum of five years of consultative sales experience with technical products—particularly pumps, motors, or related equipment—is required. Proficiency in reading engineering specifications, drawings, and technical proposals is essential.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms (especially Salesforce), and internet research are expected. The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining clear communication with leadership. Familiarity with nuclear plant operations and regulatory environments is a significant advantage.
