As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll play a key role in shaping how data is used across the organization. You'll develop robust analytics frameworks and visualizations that align with strategic goals, enabling teams in Finance, Product, Marketing, and Operations to make informed decisions. Your work will directly influence how data is accessed, interpreted, and acted upon throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders across departments to identify data needs and improve visibility into performance metrics.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards and semantic data models that translate complex datasets into clear insights.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to refine pipelines, ensuring high-quality, governed access to financial and operational data.
- Transform raw data into concise, executive-level reports and visualizations that support strategic planning.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of BI initiatives, from gathering requirements to deployment, emphasizing accuracy and usability.
- Champion self-service analytics by improving data accessibility and reducing reliance on manual reporting processes.
- Guide team members and business partners in best practices for data use, helping to strengthen overall data fluency across the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proficiency in SQL and DAX for building and optimizing data models and queries.
- Extensive experience with Power BI, including data transformation using Power Query (M language).
- Background in modern BI development workflows, including version control via GitHub and automated deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift and S3.
- Understanding of enterprise data governance and architectural standards.
- Degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years in BI or analytics roles, with a demonstrated ability to deliver enterprise-level reporting solutions.
- Proven experience developing dashboards and models used for executive decision-making and corporate performance tracking.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Amazon QuickSight or other components of the Amazon Quick suite.
- Exposure to Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio for integrating machine learning into analytics workflows.
- Background supporting large-scale BI implementations, including forecasting models, variance analysis, or KPI tracking systems.
- Knowledge of AI or ML applications such as anomaly detection or predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira for tracking development tasks and timelines.
