We are seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to lead the development of intelligent vision systems that enhance safety in industrial environments. This individual will play a central role in designing, training, and deploying computer vision models using modern deep learning techniques and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine object detection models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and ONNX
- Design and maintain CI/CD workflows for machine learning models, data pipelines, and containerized applications
- Collaborate with product and project teams to align technical execution with business goals and timelines
- Document model development processes to support transparency and human-in-the-loop oversight
- Apply transfer learning and knowledge distillation methods to improve model iteration efficiency
- Deliver technical presentations to stakeholders for custom model rollouts
- Guide junior engineers through code reviews, sprint planning, and technical problem-solving
- Work across software and data systems using Python, C/C++, and C#, with fluency in Linux and Windows environments
- Utilize Jupyter Notebooks and Google Colab for rapid prototyping and experimentation
- Manage model and data versioning using tools like DVC, MLFlow, and Lake FS
- Integrate with vector databases including Milvus, pgvector, Pinecone, and Chroma for scalable similarity search
- Apply classical computer vision techniques such as SIFT, RANSAC, Optical Flow, and SLAM when appropriate
- Work with multimodal models like CLIP, GPT-4V, and Llama to extend system capabilities
- Ensure robust source control practices across machine learning, ETL, and annotation workflows
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least seven years of experience in machine learning with strong proficiency in Python and deep learning libraries. Expertise in object detection models such as YOLO, DETR, and DINO is required. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based ML platforms like Azure ML or Azure AI Foundry is essential. Familiarity with hardware acceleration for model deployment is highly valued.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related field is expected; a master’s in artificial intelligence is a plus. The position requires on-site presence in Newburgh, IN, with no remote options available.
