GT is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to support a critical aerospace platform with high compliance and security requirements. You will help build and manage multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, including secure Kubernetes environments for both cloud and air-gapped installations.
What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across AWS EKS, GCP GKE, and Rancher K3s for on-prem environments.
- Build, manage, and deploy Helm charts; support multi-language build pipelines.
- Set up Prometheus for monitoring and alerting; define on-call processes and escalation policies.
- Manage secrets using AWS/GCP tools and HashiCorp Vault; rotate SSL/TLS certificates and implement secure policies via Istio.
- Implement threat detection, monitoring, and compliance controls aligned with defense-grade standards.
- Automate infrastructure with Terraform, including IAM role configurations on AWS and GCP.
- Support multiple Kubernetes clusters with centralized control and streamlined workflows.
- Configure and monitor Postgres/RDS and MongoDB databases.
- Work closely with backend engineers, ML teams, and security specialists to ensure seamless deployment and scalability.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, K3s), Helm, and multi-cluster management.
- Deep knowledge of AWS and GCP infrastructure (IAM, networking, deployment).
- Proficient with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience with secrets management (Vault, K8s secrets), SSL/TLS certs, and rotation best practices.
- Familiar with service mesh technologies like Istio and relevant security policies.
- Skilled in monitoring with Prometheus and setting up effective alerting/on-call strategies.
- Understanding of CI/CD systems and managing builds across multiple language stacks.
- Experience managing databases: PostgreSQL (RDS) and MongoDB.
- Strong awareness of security standards (e.g., DoD, NIST, FedRAMP).
