Shape the future of AI-powered commerce by joining an internal startup team focused on launching high-impact products. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll drive development from idea to production, crafting scalable applications that solve real problems for sellers and grow recurring revenue.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end development of new products, taking full ownership from concept through deployment and iteration
- Build modern web applications using Next.js, leveraging Server Components, App Router, and full-stack capabilities to deliver fast, dynamic experiences
- Design and maintain backend systems and APIs with strong architectural patterns, including dependency injection, idempotency, and transaction safety
- Deploy and monitor applications on Vercel and AWS, optimizing for serverless performance, cost, and reliability
- Write efficient PostgreSQL queries and work with ORMs to ensure data integrity and performance at scale
- Implement background processing, caching, and rate-limiting strategies to support scalable, resilient systems
- Collaborate with product, design, and growth teams to test ideas quickly and ship value-driven improvements
- Integrate AI features where they meaningfully enhance user outcomes, using LLMs, vector databases, or Python-based tooling when appropriate
- Align technical decisions with business KPIs, especially MRR and product-market fit
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of professional experience building production software with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Deep experience with Next.js beyond frontend rendering—understanding its full-stack, serverless, and caching capabilities
- Solid grasp of backend engineering principles: transactions, rate limiting, idempotency, and service design
- Proven work with relational databases like PostgreSQL, including query optimization and ORM usage
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining serverless applications on platforms such as Vercel or AWS
- A product-minded engineer who sees beyond code—someone who connects technical choices to business impact
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with evolving priorities
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Working knowledge of type-safe API frameworks like tRPC
- Background job processing using Inngest, BullMQ, or similar tools
- Experience integrating LLMs, vector databases, or other AI components into production systems
- Python proficiency, especially for AI/ML workflows
- Domain experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or FinTech
- Contributions to open-source projects or prior work in startup or incubator settings
