In this role, you'll manage a team of analysts and a data scientist, setting clear expectations, supporting professional growth, and ensuring high-quality, reproducible insights. You'll be responsible for aligning analytics delivery with business priorities through structured intake, roadmap planning, and consistent communication with stakeholders.
Drive Analytics Excellence
Establish and enforce best practices across documentation, peer review, QA, and governance to ensure reliable, transparent analysis. Translate complex business challenges into focused analytical approaches, delivering actionable recommendations and defining success metrics to track performance over time. Champion consistent KPI definitions and promote a culture of accountability and measurement discipline.
Enable Scalable Insights
Lead the evaluation and rollout of a company-wide BI platform, including requirements gathering, vendor assessment, and cost-benefit analysis. Define governance standards for metrics, semantic layers, and data documentation. Drive user adoption through training, reusable templates, and feedback-driven improvements. Collaborate closely with data engineering and IT to ensure robust data models, reliable pipelines, and trusted datasets.
Technical and Strategic Leadership
Bring hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery and related tooling, to guide scalable analytics design. Support strong data architecture principles, including dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance. Advocate for data quality through monitoring, lineage tracking, and cataloging. As the organization evolves, help design future operating models—such as embedded analytics or hybrid support structures—to increase impact and responsiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years in analytics, business intelligence, or data science roles
- At least 3 years managing teams, with a focus on coaching and development
- Proven track record delivering dashboards, reports, and insights across functions like Marketing, Operations, HR, and Merchandising
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience reviewing analytical work for accuracy and efficiency
- Hands-on experience with modern BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Mode, or ThoughtSpot
- Familiarity with GCP and BigQuery-centric workflows
- Understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse patterns, and governance frameworks
Preferred Background
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business, or related discipline
- Experience leading enterprise-wide BI tool deployments
- Knowledge of semantic or metrics layers and strong governance practices
- Proficiency in Python or R, or experience guiding teams using these tools
- Background in forecasting, experimentation, causal inference, or advanced analytics
- Familiarity with tools like dbt, Airflow, or Dagster in GCP environments
