We're looking for a Senior ML Engineer to help shape the future of digital healthcare. You'll design and deploy AI systems that support personalized clinical interventions, from initial patient assessment through recovery monitoring, across multiple therapeutic areas.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain full-stack AI solutions that guide clinical decision-making and patient engagement
- Design and optimize retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and fine-tuned models for real-world deployment
- Develop intelligent workflows that combine generative AI with classical machine learning techniques
- Collaborate on Phoenix, an AI-powered care specialist that maintains continuous dialogue with patients
- Ensure clinical accuracy, scalability, and accessibility across all AI-driven features
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building and shipping end-to-end AI systems in production
- Deep familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG architectures, model adaptation, and agent-based logic
- Ability to choose the right approach—generative or classical ML—based on clinical and operational needs
- Background in deploying scalable, reliable AI solutions in real-world environments
- Interest in healthcare innovation, particularly in clinical pathways and patient outcomes
Why This Matters
Your work will directly support digital care delivery for over 700,000 people across three continents. The systems you build contribute to clinically validated outcomes, backed by dozens of studies and patents, helping avoid significant healthcare costs while improving access to quality care.
This role offers remote or hybrid flexibility for candidates based in Portugal, within a team focused on AI-first transformation in clinical settings.
