As a Senior Security Researcher, you will drive innovation in security risk signal acquisition and analysis by designing novel approaches to network reconnaissance and quantitative risk evaluation. Your work will directly inform the creation and refinement of product features grounded in robust data science and real-world security trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate new data collection strategies and analytical models to expand product functionality.
- Analyze diverse datasets to assess quality, reliability, and potential for deriving meaningful security insights.
- Propose and prototype advancements in security measurement techniques based on emerging threats and technologies.
- Guide the evolution of security rating frameworks by contributing technical expertise to methodology and policy decisions.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to define data processing requirements and implementation standards.
- Act as a technical point of contact for external data partners, supporting collaboration and integration efforts.
- Produce research outputs, presentations, and technical content to support customer education and marketing initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
You bring a solid foundation in information security, networking, and cryptography, with hands-on experience scripting data workflows and building analytical prototypes. You are comfortable working independently or within cross-functional teams, capable of tackling open-ended problems with creativity and rigor. Demonstrated ability in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and communicating complex findings is essential.
Familiarity with distributed computing platforms such as PySpark, EMR, or Hadoop is a strong plus. The ideal candidate is curious, proactive, and passionate about advancing the science of cybersecurity measurement.
