Applied Intuition is hiring a Senior Software Integration Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Software Integration Engineer, you will lead the development and deployment of complex software features that span embedded systems, cloud infrastructure, and user interfaces. Your work will directly support intelligent vehicle platforms, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software components tailored to customer needs.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement end-to-end software features in C/C++ across multiple domains, including vehicle lighting control, mobile-based access systems, and in-cabin voice interaction
  • Engage directly with customers to understand operational requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Collaborate with electrical and hardware engineering teams to enable robust integration of custom software features
  • Develop and maintain test environments for system validation, both in lab settings and on actual vehicles
  • Diagnose and resolve software interface issues across components to ensure system stability and performance

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of three years of experience in software integration or development, preferably in systems-level programming
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Proven expertise in C/C++ development and debugging of software applications
  • Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals and software engineering best practices
  • Experience with Linux environments and Bash scripting for automation and testing
  • Familiarity with electronic system bring-up and troubleshooting

Preferred Background

  • Experience in automotive technologies such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Simulink, or AUTOSAR
  • Track record of delivering software solutions in large-scale development environments, including CI/CD and release management
  • Hands-on work with embedded systems and real-time software
  • Exposure to hardware-related disciplines such as PCB design, CAD, or 3D printing
  • Customer-facing project delivery experience

Technology Environment

You'll work with a modern stack including C++, Linux, embedded systems, cloud services, and UI layers, using tools like Simulink and AUTOSAR where applicable. The role emphasizes clean, maintainable code and rigorous testing across the development lifecycle.

Work Model

This is an onsite role with primary locations in Sunnyvale, San Diego, Ft. Walton Beach, Ann Arbor, Washington D.C., London, Stuttgart, Munich, Stockholm, Bangalore, Seoul, and Tokyo. Employees are expected to work from the office five days per week, with limited flexibility for remote work such as adjusted start times or early departures for personal needs.
